Q: Why is it so important to search for criminal records nationally? Why can't we just search the subject's home County or State? Shoulnd't that be adequate?

A: No. Criminals are well-aware that many people, when conducting a criminal records search, will only search local records. So they move to a different State. To obtain results you can rely on you must search nationally.

Q: Other companies offer National Criminal Searches instantly for as little as $49. Why should we pay your higher price?

A: Those cheaper searches are generally unreliable. They inevitably consist of simple computer scans (with little or no human intervention) of databases of criminal record information, using only the subject's name which you provided. They don't check aliases (which is vital), nor do they search for wants & warrants or federal convictions. They do not strive for thoroughness by checking terrorist watch lists or Interpol lists or even sexual offender registries. They do not conduct news searches. In a word, those searches may be inexpensive but they are in our opinion invalid and offer you little more than false insurance for your money. While only the FBI has access to a national biometric (fingerprint-based) criminal database, E-MaximumCriminalSearch is the most thorough report publicly-available at the present time.

Q: How and when will we receive the finished report?

A: We will upload your report to an SSL secure web page within two business days and email you the URL and password.

Q: Will our search be kept confidential?

A: Yes, your information and that pertaining to your subject will be kept strictly confidential by Washington Research Associates Inc.

Q: Some of the items covered by E-MaximumCriminalSearch don't seem relevant to our subject. Can we delete a couple, say the Interpol Search and Terrorist Watch List Search, and save some money?

A: Individual items, with the exception of the National Criminal Records Search, don't add significantly to the cost of the report. Deleting one or two items from the standardized report would require us to customize your report and wouldn't result in a lower cost.

Q: We may need to order on an ongoing basis. Can we get a discount?

A: Yes, if your order totals more than $1000 in a month, a 10% discount is applied. An additional 5% discount is applied if your orders average more than $1000/month for a year.

Q. If we have questions regarding the finished report, who can we contact?
